Winter Workshops- Intensive One Day PRINTMAKING 03 July 2024

COURSE OUTLINE

Calling all Grade 11 and Grade 12 learners.

Create beautiful monoprints using ink and an intaglio press using polypropylene plates . Monoprints are made by working directly onto a suitable surface with slow drying ink and then taking an impression onto paper by rubbing or printing. Explore Offset Monprints Printing as well. The MONOPRINT allows for unusual freedom and spontaneity. The print can be bold or delicate, resemble a watercolour, pastel or oil painting and show a wide range of textural and tonal qualities. Monoprints can be created by working additively or subtractively. As the name implies, only one good print can be taken, either by hand or with an etching printing press.
