Designed for beginners as well as those looking to refresh or deepen their observational drawing skills, the course provides a slightly guided progression through essential techniques and concepts. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: 10.0pt; line-height: 115%;\"\u003eWe begin with quick, timed gesture drawings (starting from 1-minute poses and building to longer sessions), emphasizing dynamic mark-making to capture movement, energy, and the overall \"action\" of the pose. From there, we explore a range of foundational exercises, including blind contour drawing and planar analysis, as well as gestural mark-making, shading and anatomical proportions.
