We are proud of our graduate in Fine Art from 2017 who is going places in the art world.
The Bag Factory is delighted to announce the winners of the 2018 David Koloane Award. Congratulations to Lwando Dlamini who will be working with Bag Factory mentors Pat Mautloa and Bev Butkow for a period of 8 weeks and will have the opportunity to work alongside well known artists such as Dr David Koloane, Phumulani Ntuli, Asuka Nirasawa, Diana Hyslop and Usha Seejarim to create new works which will be exhibited at this year’s FNB Joburg Art Fair.
After a successful residency at the Bag Factory, Lwando is now also a finalist in the prestigious Absa L’Atelier.
This competition is open to artists from Nigeria, Namibia, South Africa, Botswana, Ghana, Zambia, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Mauritius, Seychelles and Mozambique, for all professional and self-taught emerging artists aged 21 to 35.
