Catherine HORN

Catherine’s passion is in creating fine, detailed work. She is inspired by both nature and fantasy in her work. Catherine is most comfortable working in physical mediums such as pencil and watercolour in her illustration, to allow for sensitivity in her work. In her design work, however, she prefers working digitally with flat shapes and simple colours. Her work shows the intersection of illustration and design as well as the influence of many art and design movements.

Catherine will consult extensively in order to understand her client’s needs and will provide substantial attention to detail throughout all work. She will make use of her considerable skill set in both graphic design and illustration to provide designs tailored to the client’s needs. Catherine believes that graphic design is an intersection between multiple art and design forms and is open to drawing inspiration from all areas. This results in a richness of design that is well integrated into its context.
