The purpose of the body of work is to showcase self-awareness and to remind people of the power that they have beyond flesh and blood. Themes of spirituality, religion and township lifestyle intertwine to show personal beliefs that we are all spirits before our physical bodies.

I believe everything we create or attract spiritually will manifest in physical world in one way or another and the materiality of the work functions as metaphor with pastels that show that we are not permanent just like spirits and pastels that come in different colours can fade just like spirits. The colour of the paint also represents meaning.
