2026 Creative COLLAGE

Originating from the French “coller”, “to glue”. It involves creating an image by combining snippets of photographs, fabric, magazine clippings, and paper — glued onto a surface.

This dynamic course is designed for both beginner and seasoned creators. You’ll experiment with texture, colour, composition, layering, juxtaposition and story telling.

The course offers a supportive and stimulating environment to grow a deeper understanding of conceptual development and artistic expression. 

MATERIALS TO BE SUPPLIED BY THE STUDENT

Old magazines, glue stick, craft blade, ruler,  4x A3 cartridge paper, miscellaneous drawing materials

ABOUT THE LECTURER

Ferdinand Kidd is a fine artist and lecturer at Ruth Prowse School of Art. He studied at Stellenbosch University, and finished a masters degree in visual art in 2011. He specialises in sculpture and painting, and participates in exhibitions throughout the Western Cape.
