2026 Portrait Drawing- Saturday Morning

The Portrait

This special intensive drawing workshop will have students work from a live model to produce a portrait drawing over the course of 4 sessions. This workshop will cater to students of all levels and will cover the fundamentals of working from life along with the techniques and concepts used to develop a drawing from start to finish.

The instructor will work alongside students, providing a detailed demonstration along with commentary to guide students through the process.

ABOUT THE LECTURER

Born in South Africa, James Labuschagne is an internationally recognized artist and educator specialising in painting and drawing. After completing extensive training and study in the United States and Europe, he is currently based in Cape Town.
