Teacher Workshop 2026 Printmaking COLLAGRAPH
COURSE OUTLINE
Make your own limited edition collagraph print.
The collage is a twentieth century phenomenon that has greatly altered all the pictorial arts- painting, printmaking, textiles, film, graphic design and illustration.
Various textured materials are arranged to form an image/design and glued to the support (which needs to be a thin, strong material like mountboard) with glue. The range of surface materials you can use is limitless as long as they are not thick. Succulent plants are not suitable. Also take care not to use metal or anything sharp that might damage the blanket of the press. NB-The higher the surface areas are raised, the more difficult it becomes to wipe up the collagraph.
