A Beginner is someone with no experience or limited experience. This class is for adults over the age of 18 years.
COURSE OUTLINE This exciting jewellery course will introduce you to the hands on world of jewellery manufacturing. You will be taught the basics of making a piece in silver from beginning to end. You will learn to smelt your metal, shape and bend the metal, solder, file, sand and polish. Making a ring allows you to acquire exceptional foundational skills.
The fee includes the use of the School’s facilities and tools and a starter tool kit that includes silver valued at R780.00.
This course excludes working in gold, setting stones and casting.
LESSONS: 2 lessons 9:30 am to 3:30 pm TOTAL HOURS: 12 TIME AND DAY: Tuesday and Wednesday COURSE FEE: R2 160.00 (all lessons and consumables including silver)

ABOUT THE LECTURER: Steve is a metalsmith and jeweler driven by a desire to explore techniques and unleash creativity. With a fusion of texture and imagery, Steve adds a vibrant narrative, igniting intrigue and fascination into his work. Steve also teaches students in the full-time programme.
