Collage, originating from the French “coller”, “to glue”. It involves creating an image by combining snippets of photographs, fabric, magazine clippings, and paper — glued onto a surface. This dynamic course is designed for both beginner and seasoned creators. You’ll experiment with texture, colour, composition, layering, juxtaposition and storytelling. The course offers a supportive and stimulating environment to grow a deeper understanding of conceptual development and artistic expression.
The workshop is limited to 10 people.

ABOUT THE LECTURER
Ferdinand Kidd is a fine artist and lecturer at Ruth Prowse School of Art. He studied at Stellenbosch University, and finished a masters degree in visual art in 2011. He specialises in sculpture and painting, and participates in exhibitions throughout the Western Cape.
